The Arnica Balm is for aches and pains of all sorts such as sore muscles, arthritis, pulled muscles, backaches, and for me those horrible tension headaches that start in the neck and travel up to the base of the skull… Just don’t use arnica products of any kind of broken or open skin. This is the reason why we did not combine the two products together. We actually get asked why quite often. Having the two balms separate makes for much more user friendly products that can be combined or used alone depending on the circumstances.
The Comfrey Balm is for intense injuries such as broken bones, torn muscles, ripped and torn skin, road rash, deep cracks on the hands and feet, and everyday ordinary scrapes, cuts and bruises. It can be used on broken and open skin, and can help speed the healing in these instances. We have several happy people on our testimonies page that that have used the Comfrey Balm and Arnica Balms together on broken bones. Just remember not to use the arnica on flesh wounds.
So, why the garlic salve? The Garlic Salve is a super antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal powerhouse. It is great for athletes foot, plantar warts, ingrown toenails, potentially infected wounds – like when I stepped on the deer bone and sliced my foot open… deep cracks on the feet, ear aches, and believe it or not, it is wonderful for colds, flu, and upper respiratory infections. Yes, really. When garlic is rubbed on the feet it is pulled into the blood stream and it exits through the lungs – which is why when you rub garlic on your feet you can smell it on your breath minutes later. Try it ;-) When we are feeling under the weather, we rub some on out feet and cover with some warn cozy socks and let the herbal magic happen. This is one of my personal favorite items that we make. We make it with fresh garlic and it has a shelf life of a few weeks when left out on the counter, and many months if kept cool.
The Arnica Balm, Comfrey Balm, and Garlic Revolution Healing Salve can all be found on our Balm & Salves page.
